What it measures
The clock targets noon Eastern Time on January 20, 2029, following the schedule established by the Twentieth Amendment. It does not predict an election outcome or identify who will assume office.
How it works
The target is calculated in the America/New_York time zone and converted to one precise instant, so visitors see the same remaining duration wherever they are.
